Loads
A load is the truck side of the job: which carrier, driver and vehicle move the freight, and what it costs you.
When you dispatch an order, Optrix creates a load for you and links it to the new shipment. A load's shipments are always linked through Dispatch; you can't attach shipments to a load by hand. You can still create a standalone load from Loads → New Load, for example to plan capacity.
Load statuses
You don't set load statuses by hand. They follow the load's shipments and the driver app:
- Planned: no driver yet.
- Assigned: a driver is on the load.
- In Transit: the driver started the trip in the app, or a shipment was picked up. The actual pickup time is recorded.
- Delivered: the driver submitted proof of delivery, or every shipment is delivered or cancelled. The actual delivery time is recorded, and Driver Pay uses it.
Load fields

Assigning a driver and vehicle
- Open the load. The Driver & Vehicle card shows who is on it.
- Click Assign driver (or Change), then choose the driver and vehicle.
- Save. The load becomes Assigned and appears in the driver's app under My Loads.
The card shows the driver's phone number (tap to call), licence number, licence expiry warnings, employer, and whether the driver can use the app. Drivers without an app login can still be assigned; you just won't get GPS or app proof of delivery for them.
Rate confirmation
Click Rate confirmation on a load to download a PDF you can send to the carrier. It confirms the route, dates, equipment, driver and vehicle, the agreed rate, and the terms. US and Canadian workspaces get Letter paper size; all other countries get A4.
Live tracking
While the load is in transit and the driver is sharing location, the load page shows a map with the latest position and the route travelled. See GPS & Customer Tracking.
